Job Description Peraton is seeking a Senior Test Engineer in Chantilly, VA to support our Intelligence Community and DoD customers as part of a highly talented, highly motivated and high-performing team. As part of the Test Engineering team you will support an exciting program which involves design, development, test, and deployment of an exciting and complex system in an Agile construct to contribute to mission success for a variety of stakeholders. Work with emerging service and distributed computing technologies for the mission planning of the satellite situational awareness (SSA) mission. Become an expert in the SSA mission planning concept of operations, take ownership of understanding project requirements, translating those requirements into test cases, and use computing technology expertise to generate test procedures. Expanding on this includes being able to operate effectively in Windows and Linux based environments, access and pull down project code from a version control system, use existing automation scripts to build and run software, and use terminal commands to monitor and investigate logs and databases. Coordinate and participate in software test & integration efforts. This role will focus on test case derivation, text procedure generation, and text execution. Required Qualifications * Active TS/SCI security clearance and willing to obtain a Polygraph upon hire. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree. * 8+ years of verifiable, related experience * Operations or testing experience required to include testing methodology (ie, manual versus automated) and testing technologies (eg, unit tests, Selenium, Postman) * Must have experience building and running Java based software (eg, Maven, Spring Boot) * Must have experience with version control systems (eg, Git), code review tools (eg, Gerrit), and project management tools (eg, Jira) * Experience working with the software development and test teams to understand the software and resolve any issues or bugs that arise. * Knowledge and proficiency on Microsoft Windows office products such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. * Competency on video conferencing software such as Microsoft Teams Desired Qualifications * Familiarity with RHEL and Linux command-line administration. * Experience with Java to help troubleshoot, investigate and understand sources of problems in code to support software development teams. * Familiarity with current intelligence community systems and associated policies/procedures, with an emphasis on supporting test planning, test procedure development and test execution. * Familiarity with the operations of current intelligence community systems, their operations, and their operational concept of operations.
