Job Description Raytheon is seeking a fully cleared Senior IT Architect with a current polygraph for a position supporting the customer in McLean, VA. Primary duties include: Must have solid hands-on technical capabilities across a broad range of systems. Will assist with the design of the organization's technology architecture and implementation of hardware and software infrastructure. Will serve as SME for all the functional areas of the infrastructure in TEMs and other meetings. Broad system experience and understanding of supporting elements of the architecture including the OS and relevant networks. Plan and implement Linux, Windows, HPC, network, security, and database updates. Evaluate environment and support creation of platform roadmap. Analyze system performance and recommend corrective and preemptive actions. Conceptualize, design, and implement solutions to problems reported or discovered. Continuously improve the quality of service provided by the networks, applications, and security architecture. Act as a resource for on-going Linux DevOps automation planning, development and deployment. Help with analysis of data storage and backup solutions. Deliver timely and high quality solutions to customer problems and requests focusing on root cause analysis, prevention, and knowledge transfer. Manage vendor and OEM account relationships to provide mission critical support. Initiate and participate in triage meetings to share knowledge with other engineers and to efficiently resolve customer problems. Mandatory Skills: Must have knowledge of Amazon C2S environment. Must have strong capability serving as a technical mentor Must have extensive experience with Windows Server 2016 and 2019. Must have extensive experience of Windows 10 Workstation. Must have a very high level of experience with Microsoft System Center. Must understand the customer environment and be able to support modifications of the standard deployment packages to conform to the unique security architecture in place. Must have enterprise level experience with Linux CentOS7, Linux CentOS8, RHEL 7, and RHEL 8.1. Must have enterprise level experience with Centrify for Linux authentication and integration with Microsoft Active Directory. Advanced Linux system management tools experience to include using Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Ansible Tower, Jenkins, Foreman, Spacewalk, Satellite. Knowledge of web server technologies such as Apache httpd, build automation tools such as Apache Maven, and web development knowledge about AJAX (JavaScript & XML) jQuery. Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, C#. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, PowerShell, and VBScript. Experience with the AWS CLI, CloudFormation, Terraform, and data serialization languages such as JSON and YAML. Practical experience troubleshooting Linux systems, Windows systems, and HPC systems. Experience managing workflows for enterprise projects in Jira. Ability to work independently with minimal management supervision. Ability to manage challenging technical issues by setting customer expectations, devising and implementing action plans, and professionally communicating with all stakeholders.
