The company, formed in 2020 through the combination of Raytheon Company and the United Technologies Corporation aerospace businesses, is headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts Join this high impact team as a Principal or Sr. Infrastructure Engineer to design, develop, and integrate custom IT infrastructure capabilities with Raytheon Technologies business units and programs. Design and build innovative, sustainable solutions to meet business unit or program needs that can include networks, servers, storage, cloud, voice and video communications. Collaborate as a trusted expert on contracts, bids, and proposals to develop estimates and business cases. Other responsibilities will include, but are not limited to : * Create network designs that comply with approved architecture, standards, and policies consistent with industry best practices. * Configure infrastructure components such as Cisco routers, switches firewalls, encryption devices as well as VoIP and data servers in accordance with design and compliance standards. * Collaborate with other engineers and support personnel to implement solutions and resolve infrastructure problems within the enterprise and program environments. * Propose innovative, cost effective solutions to management while ensuring all network requirements are met based on future needs. Integrate and partner with customer to assist in deriving solutions to complex network infrastructure challenges. * Ensure Information Assurance compliance for Network hardware and software. * Assist in the overall performance and capability of a technical team through mentoring and knowledge sharing. * Domestic or international travel will be required. Required Skills: * 7+ years of IT infrastructure experience including many of the following: * Significant working proficiency with and solution integration understanding of Cisco infrastructure products and software, Forcepoint firewalls, encryption devices and Microsoft servers. * Demonstrable expertise in TCP/IP networking fundamentals. * Prior experience with network management and troubleshooting tools, Wireshark, TCPDump, NetFlow, etc. * Experience configuring and implementing network and device encryption. * Familiarity in all aspects of IT infrastructure outside of primary expertise. * Rising familiarity with cloud technologies and capabilities. * Solid troubleshooting skills with a desire for continual learning. * Strong teaming skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present information to various levels of leadership and non-technical teammates. Education: Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelor's degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree and 7 years of prior relevant experience Location: Remote work available.
