DCGS Network Engineer - Senior
Overview Railhead, Inc. is currently seeking a motivated DCGS Network Engineer. The selected individual shall evaluate, analyze, critique, and/or assess the technical aspects of work performed by the contractor. The contractor shall provide Software Maintenance Lifecycle support to include: program management, infrastructure and information technology management, Post Deployment Software Sustainment (PDSS) Mission Support, Post Production Software Sustainment (PPSS) Mission Support, cybersecurity and authorization support. The individual may be required to perform services at its own facility (off-site) or at a duty station at a designated US Government facility or other designated facilities (on-site) within the Continental US (CONUS). Responsibilities Perform network engineering functions including conceptualization, design, implementation, and optimization. Assess evolving user needs, translate those needs into network changes through network reconfiguration, hardware and software acquisitions, installation and test. Apply current and emerging network software and hardware technology and protocols. Solve engineering problems, or manage the solution of engineering problems Qualifications Bachelors Degree with 9 years of experience Eg functions including: conceptualization, design, implementation, and optimization. Must be experienced in assessing evolving user needs, translating those needs into network changes through network reconfiguration, hardware and software acquisitions, installation and test. Must be knowledgeable in the application of current and emerging network software and hardware technology and protocols. Experience solving engineering problems (or managing the solution of engineering problems) in the functional area to which assigned.
