Job Summary Dominion Energy is currently seeking a Cyber Security Engineer I or Engineer II (based on experience) Design Engineering Department at the North Anna Power Station in Mineral, VA. The position will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The successful candidate will work on site and provide design support to the station developing design change documentation for plant modifications and assist in understanding, evaluation, and maintaining the existing Design Configuration of North Anna Power Plant, Units #1 & #2. The Cyber Security Engineer will be primarily responsible for bringing new Digital Assets into compliance with regulatory requirements, including generating cyber assessments, data packets, and component classification in accordance with 10 CFR 73.54 and NEI 08-09 Criteria. A training program will be provided for the new candidate to obtain a required basic level of knowledge for understanding plant design basis, operations, maintenances as well as work planning structure, including normal and emergency operating procedures. Responsibilities include: Engineer in charge of maintaining the Cyber Security program in North Anna's Engineering department. Assisting in protecting Critical Digital Assets (CDAs) from cyber threat through monitoring and auditing of CDAs; Understanding the cyber security implications surrounding the overall architecture of plant networks, operating systems, hardware platforms, plant specific applications, and the services and protocols upon which those applications rely; Performing cyber security related duties including generating cyber assessments, data packets, and component classification in accordance with 10 CFR 73.54 and NEI 08-09 Criteria Ensuring cyber security assessments of CDAs are performed and documented prior to being presented to Cyber Security Assessment Team for review and approval Assisting in the designing, acquiring, installing, or administering security controls. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience Engineer I - 0-2+ years electrical, I&C, cyber, or related engineering experience plus ABET accredited Engineering degree or PE license (see education requirements below). Students who will receive their degree by May 2021 are eligible for consideration. Engineer II - 3+ years of electrical, I&C, cyber, or related engineering experience plus ABET accredited Engineering degree or PE license (see education requirements below). This is an entry-level (Engineer I) or fully competent (Engineer II) position. Must possess strong interpersonal, team leadership, and analytical skills to resolve a variety of technical and process related issues. Demonstrate a questioning attitude to continue to learn, produce results and strengthen existing relationships. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to make formal technical presentations to various management levels. Must have understanding of cyber security processes and technologies including an understanding of industrial control system networks and the differences from IT systems when applying cyber security controls on OT systems (eg, ICS, PLC, DPC, and SCADA) and an understanding of workstation and server security and protection Experience in security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network architecture and topologiesBasic knowledge of engineering concepts, fundamentals and theory. Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined above are encouraged to apply.
