The Industrial Security Programs Department is a multi-disciplined security group within Global Security Services focused on the protection of classified information developed by or entrusted to US industry operating under the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). Serve as the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) within Global Security Services to manage several MITRE Industrial Security Program customers. Implement and execute area program security requirements for SCI and SAP regarding MITRE McLean DoD programs. Determine and develop approaches to risk-based and cost-effective security solutions. Have expert knowledge of government security policies, procedures, and regulations to develop a strategy for overall program protection which includes OPSEC, CI, Physical, Personnel and IT security support; while managing the development, implementation and audit of your overall security posture. Deliver and collaborate with security stakeholders, multiple MITRE Project Leaders while acting as liaison to sustain security requirements. Responsibilities include: This position will coordinate and deliver security support and act as a liaison between project staff, MITRE security management, and program management to sustain security requirements. Incumbent candidate will possess the knowledge and experience for the following primary responsibilities: + Apply expertise of the M-1, NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and the sponsors amplifying Instructions, to implement the day-to-day security operations. Utilize security experience of various security disciplines (ie physical, safeguarding, and classification management) to determine, apply, monitor and ensure appropriate security requirements applicable to the work programs: + Develop the implementation of visitor control, safeguarding secure spaces, classification management, physical security, information system security, security education, and personnel security for adherence to all government security collateral, SCI and SAP requirements. Develop, review, coordinate, and execute Program Security documentation. Some examples of documentation include; Fixed Facility Checklist (FFC), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Transportation Plans, Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), and Co-Uses. + Create and deliver employee briefings to facilitate security instructions commensurate to the level needed to perform classified work on the program; as well as, periodic sponsor requirements. Conduct program security briefings to include, local areas briefs, security refreshers, and indoctrinations. + Implement the management and training for SCI cleared employees commensurate to the level of classified program information they are accessing in support of MITREs work programs. It is critical that incumbent create and deliver informative local area, annual refresher and courier briefings + Develop and conduct clear and concise assessments, corrective action plans, policies, procedures, and reports. This includes investigations of security incidents to determine the potential for compromise of program information, conducting government required self-inspections to ensure compliance with sponsor regulations and reduce security risks, and daily SCIF inspections and report and remediate anomalous occurrences Additional duties include: + Assisting with escorting, which may require after hours support + Managing alarm system and provide/coordinate after-hours alarm support + Assisting the local COMSEC account manager for COMSEC policy implementation + Assisting with coordination and support of classified conferences and provide visitor management support and badging Minimum Qualifications: + BS and 5 years related experience + Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances. Basic/Required Qualifications: + 5+ years of contractor or government program security experience supporting SCI programs. + Extensive knowledge of security manuals, directives, and Executive Orders to include, NISPOM and its amplifying directives (DCIDs, ICDs, Sponsor Instruction, etc.). + Excellent problem-solving skills + Possess exceptional customer service skills + Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of management and government + Excellent writing skills + Confident using Microsoft Office products + Current/Active TS/SCI Preferred Qualifications: + Experience as CPSO supporting SCI and SAP programs + Knowledge of Intelligence Community + Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph MITRE is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
