Geospatial Programmer with Security Clearance
Please review the job details below. Maxar is looking to add an experienced Geospatial Programmer to join our team. We have an amazingly talented team that needs a programmer who can help develop scalable and sustainable geospatially-oriented solutions and utilities for our customers. You will work with your direct supervisor, and/or a mentor, to set appropriate goals and design a plan to help you make consistent progress. Minimum Requirements: * Must be a US Citizen with a current TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph. * Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or additional 4 years of professional work experience in lieu of degree. * 5 years of relevant experience with Software Development. * Familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise, publishing services, and applications using the application suite. * Experience manipulating raster and vector data in multiple formats (GeoTIFF, Shapefile, etc.) * Strong skills in developing solutions with Python in Linux and Windows environments using Jupyter notebooks * Ability to articulate details of system design, architectures, & technologies to stakeholders Preferred Skills: * Experience using open source GIS packages (QGIS) * Demonstrated proficiency using open source Python modules for geospatial data (GDAL, OGR, GeoPandas, etc.) * Exposure to High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems using Torque or Slurm * Security+, or a comparable certification, for privileged user access * Experience developing & deploying web services & applications * Knowledge of Design Thinking principles #cjpost Maxar Technologies values diversity in the workplace and is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
