Our Springfield VA based client is looking for Software Assurance - Senior. Local candidates are preferred. In person meeting is required prior hiring. US CITIZENSHIP AND ACTIVE TS ARE required for these openings. Applicants must have a minimum of a current Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI. Software Assurance - Senior Work location: Springfield, VAShift: Regular Days (non-shift work) Job Description:The (SOC) is a US Government program responsible to prevent, identify, contain and eradicate cyber threats to client's networks through monitoring, intrusion detection and protective security services to CBP information systems including local area networks/wide area networks (LAN/WAN), commercial Internet connection, public facing websites, wireless, mobile/cellular, cloud, security devices, servers and workstations. The SOC is responsible for the overall security of Enterprise-wide information systems, and collects, investigates and reports any suspected and confirmed security violations. The SOC Program has a critical need for a Software Assurance Senior Engineer. This is a full time funded position based in Springfield, VA. o Plan, create and execute manual and automatic software test activities as a member of an Agile software development teamo Develop an understanding of current products and technologies in order to design and implement quality solutions to meet customer needso Analyze and dissect system requirements and technical specifications to help ensure testabilityo Run both manual and automated test plans to find bugs, defects and regressions in product functionalityo Design, develop and maintain test automation systems, tools and scriptso Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, browsers, or network environmentso Document software defects and report defectso Follow processes and procedures outlined for capturing data necessary for metrics reportingo Participate in the management, maintenance and monitoring of test environmentso Write and execute load and performance test cases and scriptso Participate in Agile task such as sprint reviews, product backlog grooming, daily scrum, sprint planning and sprint retrospectiveo Execute dynamic web application vulnerability scans to help ensure application code adheres to security standardso Define test methods and create test plans for new or updated software projects to determine if the software will perform accurately and reliably Basic Qualification:Applicants must have a minimum of a current Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.SOC employees are required to have or be able to favorably pass a 5 year (BI) Background Investigation.The candidate must possess experience with the following: Application development tools, such as version control, defect tracking, build management and test management C# and/or development environments similar to Visual Studio Selenium or similar portable testing software for web applications preferred Relational databases, stored procedures, database functions, and SQL Web browsers, protocols and web services including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and/or JSON Testing web services and APIs including REST, SoapUI, and/or WebAPI
