The Director, Corporate Strategy will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Investments. Essential functions will include supporting ongoing market strategy and multi-year investment activities (M&A and Venture); and developing long-term growth plans and organic and inorganic roadmaps in collaboration with portfolio companies and sectors. Responsibilities will include conducting market sizing, monitoring, and competitiveness analyses, and assessing business portfolio trends; developing draft enterprise and market level strategic studies to support new market entry, expansion, and business model design; leveraging experience in corporate strategy with capability knowledge emphasizing client delivery; playing a key role in business case development; managing regional corporate sustainability program, and collaborating with business unit leaders on sustainability program goals; and working with group sustainability leaders on data and analysis for regional inputs to annual Corporate sustainability report. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4-5+ years of strategy experience with a BA or BS Degree, OR a minimum of 3+ years of strategy experience with a Masters/MBA Degree. Experience in the Aerospace and Defense sector is highly preferred. Additional experience/skills will include corporate strategy or planning, including management/strategy consulting; experience with any of the following - corporate strategy, market entry strategy, market monitoring and analysis, corporate planning, business model development, or M&A and/or corporate venture capital; ability to perform complex corporate financial modeling and analyses using Microsoft Excel; ability to develop executive and working level business case presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint; ability to work with business development and go to market teams to develop winning capture strategies, competitive intelligence, and trends analysis. Experience working in international markets or businesses preferred, as well as experience working in a matrix environment. While a BA or BS Degree is required, a Masters/MBA Degree is highly preferred. The position is in Alexandria, VA.
