Job Description You As a Security Lead with Octo, you will serve as a key contributor on a large federal enterprise program, responsible for maintaining and enhancing information security management program(s) to ensure integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information. Program Mission The program you will be supporting will migrate an existing portfolio of applications to a more evolvable architecture that can better leverage a cloud environment to deliver better technology, reduce program sustainment costs, and higher system reliability. Skills & Requirements Specifics Adheres to security best practices and complies with government standards. Analyzes mission requirements and make recommendations. Assesses information security risk and facilitating remediation of identified vulnerabilities for IT security and risk across the enterprise. Generates security reports related to incidents, vulnerabilities, and configurations. Serve as subject matter expert/lead for all IT security related tasks. Collaborates with technology architecture teams by performing security analysis of proposed architectures, risk assessment, providing timely feedback, and comply with security requirements. Provides guidance and best practice recommendations for IT security policies, procedures, and standards that meet regulatory requirements. Maintains knowledge of security regulations, best practices, countermeasures, compliance standards, and current threats. Requirements A seasoned Security Lead with demonstrable, large mission-critical systems experience. Industry leading security certification (Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent) required. Desired Skills: Cloud Security experience desired. HHS experience ideal. Years of Experience: 10+ years of experience (see Requirements for more details). Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline. Location: Remote work in Reston, VA, during COVID with occasional client visits in DC Metro area only. Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust Clearance/Suitability, including a US residency requirement for those who are Non-U.S. Citizens (Must have lived in the US two out of the last 5 years).
