Job Title: Cyber Technical WriterLocation: Washington, DCJob Type: FulltimeJob Description:The purpose of the position is to be responsible for leading and developing technical writing support services for the government Agency.Responsibilities Include:Develop and maintain the Agency's comprehensive Information Technology and Cybersecurity policies, procedures, strategies, system documentation, and templates in accordance with and to satisfy agency requirements, Information Technology Infrastructure Library best practices, Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) requirements, National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) guidance, Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), Office of Management and Budget (OMB) mandates, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) directives, Cybersecurity Framework, OMB/DHS CIO Metrics and Office of Inspector General (OIG) FISMA Reporting Metrics objectives;* Develop memorandums, reports, project plans, performance work statements and briefings as directed.* Provide grammatical and editorial reviews of documents.* Required Qualifications and Skills:* BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or other related analytical, scientific or technical discipline* Five (5) years of experience the research, preparation, writing, and editing of technical documents for publication* Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Visio).* Experience gathering, analyzing, and composing technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel.* Experience editing documents to ensure grammatical correctness and conducting research to ensure the use of proper technical terminology.* Knowledge of Federal Government SA&A practices and policies, particularly FISMA and NIST Special Publications 800 series.* Industry recognized and accepted certifications relating to IT security preferred (CISSP, GIAC, CEH, TNCP, Security+, Network+, ITIL etc.).Work Setting and Environment:* Normal working hours at Government sites for this requirement are the employee shall work eight (8) hours a day anytime between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM ET, Monday through Friday, 52 weeks a year excluding weekends and Federal holidays. The vendor must be available during the core hours of 9:00 AM 3:00 PM ET.* Must have or be able to obtain (and maintain) a government clearance (US Citizenship).* Remote work is authorized up to 1-day a week and will be approved and the arrangements monitored by the COR. Remote work may be rescinded or suspended at the discretion of the COR.Physical Requirements:* Individual will be required to complete repetitive editing tasks for government customer.* Majority of time is spent sitting; extensive use of computer/computer terminal
