Synerfac is seeking full-time Building Engineer for a PK-12 school. The position is based in DC but will also be required to be present on their Bethesda, MD location a few days throughout the week. The Building Engineer is responsible for the daily physical campus maintenance which includes but is not limited to monitoring, maintaining, adjusting and repairing all building HVAC systems and equipment to allow for the safe and smooth operation of all buildings, across both campuses. The ideal candidate will possess a developed and demonstrated expertise in HVAC. HVAC work may include but is not limited to installation, inspection, troubleshooting and repair of boilers, chillers, pumps, air handlers, filters, valves, VAVs, unit ventilators, ductwork, compressors and the digital control system. ~ Must have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC ~ Experience with leading basic maintenance projects, developing and writing scope of work, scheduling, and budget ~ Working knowledge of safety procedures for working with HVAC, moving parts, and ladders ~ Ability to understand blueprints, schematics and technical manuals Job Requirements: ~ Must have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC ~ Experience with leading basic maintenance projects, developing and writing scope of work, scheduling, and budget ~ Working knowledge of safety procedures for working with HVAC, moving parts, and ladders ~ Ability to understand blueprints, schematics and technical manuals
