At Tetra Tech, you will work with high-performing teams who are passionate about using their expertise to find solutions to complex problems in water, environment, infrastructure, resource management, energy, and international development.This position is subject to contract award.PRO-telligent, a Tetra Tech Company is seeking various levels of experienced Correction Advisors to assist the Department of State (DoS), Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) Merida Initiative in Mexico City, Mexico. The selected candidates will be located in Mexico.Advisor scope of work will include, but not necessarily limited to the following: Assist the Government of Mexico (GOM) in developing more effective and transparent security and rule of law institutions, which work together effectively and cooperate with international partners to reduce threats from transnational and domestic crime, including terrorism, and improve border security and protect human rights. Support the GOM state and society efforts to establish efficient, transparent, and accountable prosecutorial, correctional, and alternative justice systems institutions that respect human rights. Assist the GOM in improving federal, state, and local governments' operational ability to prevent and mitigate crime and terrorism, impact transnational criminal organization (TCO) cash flow, contribute to criminal cases against TCO leaders and members, disrupt TCO trust and corruptive relationships, and safely apprehend TCO and other high target offenders. Improve border security, including building support to the new government's efforts to secure Mexico's southern border.The selected candidates must meet the requirement of one of the listed categories (Level I- IV). ALL personnel must be US citizens and must have the ability to obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) Certification. The selected candidates must have an MRPT before dividuals selected will be assigned based on criteria outlined below (Level I-IV). Education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for each year served in the professionally related field of employmentI: High School degree required, FSI Level 3/3 English, FSI Level 3/3 Spanish, graduate of a US federal or state corrections or probation officer academy certified by a POST commission or equivalent, and of at least 120 hours in length, two (2) years of corrections experience, one (1) year of experience working on international corrections issues preferred, working overseas preferred, experience working or coordinating with other relevant US government agencies (eg, Departments of Justice, Defense, DEA and/or USAID) preferred.II: High School degree required, FSI Level 4/4 English, FSI Level 4/4 Spanish, rank of Lieutenant (or equivalent or higher), graduate of a US federal or state corrections or probation officer academy certified by a POST commission or equivalent, and of at least 120 hours in length, two (2) years of managerial and supervisory experience as Lieutenant (or equivalent), one (1) year of experience working on international corrections issues preferred, working overseas preferred, experience working or coordinating with other relevant US government agencies (eg, Departments of Justice, Defense, DEA and/or USAID) preferred.III: Bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited college or university in any field with preference given to degrees in criminal justice, social sciences, accounting, or communications, FSI Level 3/3 English, FSI Level 3/3 Spanish, rank of associate/deputy warden (or equivalent or higher), graduate of a US federal or state corrections or probation officer academy certified by a POST commission or equivalent, and of at least 120 hours in length, two (2) years of managerial and supervisory experience as a Deputy Warden or Warden )or equivalent), one (1) year of experience working on international corrections issues preferred, working overseas preferred, experience working or coordinating with other relevant US government agencies (eg, Departments of Justice, Defense, DEA and/or USAID) preferred.IV: Bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited college or university in any field with preference given to degrees in criminal justice, social sciences, accounting, or communications, FSI Level 4/4 English, FSI Level 4/4 Spanish, rank of associate/deputy warden (or equivalent or higher), graduate of a US federal or state corrections or probation officer academy certified by a POST commission or equivalent, and of at least 120 hours in length, three (3) years of managerial and supervisory experience as a Deputy Warden or Warden )or equivalent), two (2) years of experience working on international corrections issues preferred, working overseas preferred, experience working or coordinating with other relevant US government agencies (eg, Departments of Justice, Defense, DEA and/or USAID) preferred.About Tetra Tech:Tetra Tech is a leading provider of high-end consulting and engineering services for projects worldwide.
