The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine the University of Maryland School is recruiting two full-time cardiologists to expand our existing programs MTC (Job 20000048) Seeking a dynamic cardiovascular medicine physician primarily based at our Midtown Campus. The role of this cardiologist would be to change the trajectory of health in an underserved population by promoting cardiovascular wellness among patients in the City of Baltimore. This mission includes a strong focus on community outreach. This physician will see outpatients and inpatients at the University of Maryland Midtown Campus. The cardiologist will also have service time at the Downtown Campus as a teaching attending on the Primary Cardiology Service as well as the Cardiology Consult service. WESTMINSTER (Job 1900007) This appointment is a full-time faculty position at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. This unique position combines the benefits of private practice cardiology along with academic opportunities. This hybrid opportunity encompasses private practice style office and hospital setting as well as the occasion to teach and conduct research in an academic institution. We are looking for a highly motivated provider with noninvasive skills, willingness to build a practice, and the desire to teach residents and fellows This placement will be shared between our main downtown Baltimore campus and one outreach site. With the right candidate, we are hoping to combine the best of both worlds of the private practice setting within the environment of academic medicine. Both openings require a MD/DO degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent) and candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Maryland medical license, be board certified in internal medicine and board certified/board eligible in cardiovascular medicine. Expected faculty rank for both positions is Assistant Professor or higher on a clinical educator pathway, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
