Principal Project Lead - Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (Commercial Bank)

Are you interested in joining a talented, cross functional team aimed at solving some of the Commercial Bank's most pressing DIB challenges? If you have a passion for shaping the overall landscape and want to be part of a dynamic team, then look no further!

The Principal Associate in this role will create, develop, execute and support initiatives that promote our DIB principles across the organization. We partner closely with Commercial leadership, HRCs and enterprise partners to ensure we can deliver real-time impact, while diagnosing and solving pain points longer term. This role will be responsible for driving key efforts for Commercial Bank's DIB work efforts. You'll play a critical role in supporting key initiatives including Business Resource Groups (BRGs), projects, and priorities as needed in an environment where the business truly values strategic partnership.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manage team projects and systems to ensure work is well run, strategically aligned and prioritized by setting deadlines, communicating with company executives about the state of the project, ensuring projects stay on track and on budget, and adjusting if necessary to meet new requirements.
  • Collaborate with partners to proactively infuse DIB best practices into key processes
  • Produce high quality, scalable programs for Commercial associates that support associate retention, engagement and sense of belonging
  • Collaborate with partners to proactively infuse DIB best practices into key processes
  • Facilitate DIB programs and discussions leveraging knowledge of current research and data
  • Deliver DIB projects and initiatives from start to finish, while providing regular progress updates to team leaders and stakeholders Examples include: Coordination of bias mitigation training, planning and successful delivery of DIB related events, etc.
  • Develop compelling narratives to drive alignment with stakeholders across levels and business groups


Selected Candidate Will:
  • Have a track record of successful program management -- bringing the ability to quick establish structures and operating rhythms to drive clarity, focus, and sustain momentum with various programs
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Display understanding and alignment with DIB initiatives
  • Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes
  • Demonstrate good judgement and sensitivity


Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a program management or a delivery role


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or Military experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in a project management or chief of staff position
  • At least 2 years of experience working with agile teams or project management
  • Experience partnering with teams across Enterprise Learning, Communications, or HR Consulting
  • PMP or CSM certification
  • Demonstrated interest and action in Diversity and Inclusion work
  • Proficient in Google Suite (Sheets and Slides)
