Summary

This position is located in the Assistant Secretary for Management/Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Deputy Assistant Secretary for Information Systems and Chief Information Officer (CIO), Infrastructure and Operations, and serves as a Customer Support Analyst on the Senior Executive Support Team. Management/CFO is the principal policy advisor to the Secretary and Deputy Secretary on the development and execution of the budget for the Department of the Treasury.

Responsibilities

As a IT Specialist, you will:
  • Plan, implement, and/or coordinate dedicated IT support to senior Department-level Treasury officials, supporting and maintaining all personal computer equipment, printers, monitors, laptops and/or docking stations, and specialized systems and software used by senior executives at the Department level.
  • Assume responsibility for effectively accomplishing the work, documenting and tracking problems and solutions, ensuring feasibility, developing reports on the status of projects, and implementing goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct needs analyses for senior executives to determine business requirements, often under tight constraints, and coordinates work with team leaders and staff members, peers in various organizations, contractor staff, and internal/external entities who are engaged with senior Treasury executives on matters involving financial stability, economic recovery, domestic and international fiscal and tax policy, and national security.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

- ServiceDesk functions including Helpdesk, account administration, change and configuration management responsibilities; AND
- Customer requirements and demand management (requirements analysis) from assessing security impact and policy guidelines to product identification, procurement and installation planning and implementation; AND
- End User support technologies and methodologies including web conferencing, mobile devices, remote access, and laptop/desktop/printer setup and support; AND
- Information Technology Asset Management practices and management along with software license and hardware maintenance tracking.

In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.
