Responsibilities

  • Enhancing ORR Unaccompanied Children Program data analytics capabilities by supporting the UC data system, ensuring data integrity, generating routine and ad hoc reports, and fulfilling data requests.
  • Analyzing data residing in the internal systems, extracts impactful insights, and presents findings in textual and graphical formats.
  • Proposing system enhancements to provide mission-critical functionality, streamline workflow, and improve efficiency.
  • Using strong communication techniques to write data reports for data requested internally and externally.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below.

Specialized Experience:
GS-12: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 level in the Federal service that includes the following:
  • Collaborating with staff to improve analytical processes and systems.
  • Writing data reports for internal and external requestors.
  • Assisting in the design and development of data analytic deliverables.
  • Utilizing data analytics tools to generate data reports.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through national Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
