All Saints Church is seeking a full-cycle staff accountant / bookkeeper. This position is responsible for daily general ledger activities to ensure the expediency and accuracy of the organization’s financial reporting. The position requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision to oversee the day-to-day general accounting.

Salary is commensurate with experience and full benefits are offered. The position has minimal supervisory responsibilities. Position reports to the Comptroller.

General Duties

  • Maintain relevant financial databases to ensure that records are complete and current
  • Process accounts payable and payment requests on a recurring basis, review general ledger to ensure consistency and accuracy of coding
  • Process accounts receivable invoices, review ledger coding for accuracy and consistency, process deposits and post cash receipts on a recurring basis
  • Prepare cash receipts for bank deposits
  • Maintain proper accounting department backup documentation and files
  • Prepare and process general ledger journal entries
  • Process bi-weekly payroll; ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual pension and payroll tax forms are filed in a timely manner
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, operating expense statements, income, and investment reports for Vestry
  • Maintain and update quarterly budgets within the accounting system
  • Provide reports on giving analytics, as requested
  • Assist Comptroller with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist Comptroller with preparation of annual budget
  • Attend weekly staff meetings
  • Other duties as assigned by the Comptroller


  • Excel Proficient
  • Strong Data Entry Skills
  • Non-profit accounting / bookkeeping experience preferred
  • Keen attention to detail, accuracy, planning, and organization
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities at once
  • Knowledge of and experience with accounting software; experience with SAGE/Peachtree preferable
  • Familiarity with ADP payroll or another third-party payroll processing system and provider
  • Experience with or familiarity with Realm church software, a plus
  • History of working well with church and non-profit staff and volunteers
  • Flexibility and ability to work well under pressure

No relocation.
