The Washington Post Production facility has an opportunity for a Production Foreman in our Post Press Department to help support the day-to-day operations of the business. In this role the Production Foreman is responsible for the execution of daily work for their team. They are expected to be the expert on the products their team is responsible for as well as the equipment used to complete the finished product.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
  • Shift management and employee supervision
  • Understanding and following the weekly production schedule
  • Providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • Ensuring equipment is maintained, auditing for PM compliance, and troubleshooting issues to keep equipment running
  • Auditing for job completion and customer satisfaction
  • Developing and certifying employees so that we have fully knowledgeable and capable department
  • Ensuring safe work practices and the use of PPE

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required, trade school or college education is a plus
  • 3-5 years previous manufacturing experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisor or management experience
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Experience operating manufacturing equipment (collator, SLS, Bravo Binder etc.)
  • Excellent technical skills and a strong track record
  • Effective communication skills, Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish)
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with Maximo is a plus
  • Proven track record with coaching, mentoring, and development
