Children's National is seeking a Contract Review Specialist to assist in managing contract reviews for the entire organization and its affiliates. We are looking for a talented individual who will review the terms and conditions of operational contracts, create template form of agreements, and have knowledge about the contract management and administration process.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
Juris Doctorate (J.D.) (Required)

Paralegal certificate. Preferred J.D., (bar admission is not a requirement)

Functional Accountabilities

Document and Contract Support
1. Support the Children's National legal team in providing training to internal clients on relevant legal issues/good contracting practice.
2. Provide initial review of contracts as assigned.
3. Assist in the negotiation process for contracts as assigned.
4. Create template agreements as well as contract education tools for Children's National.
5. Provide support and escalate to Contract Managing Counsel as necessary.
6. Utilizing project management skills to implement process improvement for the contract process.
7. Communicate and perform cross functionality by working closely with legal, purchasing, grants and contracts, finance and other business functions.
8. Other projects and matters as assigned.

Research
1. Conduct legal research as assigned.
2. Assist in the research, planning and preparation of education sessions and presentations.
3. Assist with creation of education materials and templates for internal and external use.

Administrative Tasks
1. Provide some administrative duties which may include preparation of expense reports, calendar, travel arrangements, and other administrative tasks as needed.
2. Support of Legal/Compliance/Risk on the Intranet (SharePoint), development of survey tools, and other tasks as needed.
