Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group has parted together with a Non-Profit Organization that is seeking a Senior Director, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) for the Human Resources department. In this position your primary role is the development and implementation of a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy that promotes a culture of inclusivity and belonging. You will lead a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists in designing and implementing strategies to attract top talent. Create strong relationships with both internal business partners and external organizations and lead the team to deliver on our talent strategy while staying current on market trends and innovative recruiting techniques.

You will be responsible for:
  • Developing a strategy using expert knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion research, theory, and practice;
  • Leading and supporting activities including policies and programs related to recruitment, hiring, retention, promotion, training, and outreach;
  • Working collaboratively with senior leadership to ensure the company's DEI strategy is aligned with key organizational priorities and serves as a trusted resource for advice and counsel on matters pertaining to the company culture of inclusivity;
  • Overseeing, analyzing, and monitoring the effectiveness of recruitment activities. Ensuring operational excellence and implementing policies, procedures, and technology solutions for improved efficiency, effectiveness with a customer/candidate centric focus;
  • Partnering with business leaders and external organizations to develop strategies, programs, and initiatives that support the development of diverse talent pipelines;
  • Managing, coaching, and developing the Talent Acquisition team while motivating them to meet and exceed established metrics and goals;
  • Developing and fostering our employment brand. Partnering with the Marketing and Communications teams to create innovative and high-impact brand with a focus on all digital channels and recruiting materials. Championing the candidate experience, continuously improving the candidate journey from prospect to hire;



Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or other relevant field, or equivalent work experience required;
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated DEI expertise in creating diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace cultures;
  • A minimum of three (3) years of progressive recruiting experience required;
  • Management experience in a related field, which has included management and leadership responsibilities for staff, strategy development and execution, and fiscal and budget accountabilities;
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred;
  • The ability to analyze and manage problems, and effectively provide solutions, using data-driven decision-making skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence, demonstrated by the delivery of quality and timely outcomes;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to breakdown complex issues into easy-to-understand messages;
  • The ability to lead and guide staff to meet department and organizational goals. Strong knowledge of staff management practices. Flexible, willing to learn, and anticipates the needs of self and staff;
  • The ability to adapt approaches to changing situations;
  • The ability to build/foster relationships by reinforcing trust and respect, and demonstrating high standards of tact, diplomacy, and discretion;
  • Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software (Word, Excel), presentation software (PowerPoint) and familiarity with applicant tracking software;
  • The ability to work both independently and as an effective team member.
