Risk Manager - Credit Intent Process

Do you want to be at the core intersection of Capital One's Card credit business and Risk Management? We are hiring a Risk Manager to be the Credit Intent Process Manager and Credit Policy Governance Lead across US Card. This exciting role sits within the Mainstreet Credit Innovation Team and plays a pivotal horizontal role to manage the process in bringing credit underwriting intent to market and provide oversight of credit policy controls across the US Card credit programs.

Risk Managers at Capital One are highly motivated Risk Management professionals with excellent organizational and communication skills. They have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to work with Executives to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as Process Manager for Credit Intent, which includes maintaining process documentation, managing the Integrated Process Assessment and Business Continuity Plans, reviewing process control coverage and execution, remediating gaps, and escalating issues to the Process Owner
- Lead the newly established first line Credit Policy Governance process by monitoring the US Card credit policy landscape for control and requirement gaps, and assisting Card segments with remediation efforts
- Elevate innovative, automated risk monitoring techniques within our credit policy control suite

- Support internal reviews by Credit Risk Management and Credit Review and external regulatory exams
- Execute centralized horizontal credit policy controls that aggregate metrics across Card segments
- Advise internal risk teams to rationalize risk and control process to eliminate reduncies and better manage underlying risk

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or military experience
- A least 1 year of Financial Services Risk Management Experience
- At least 3 years of Project Management experience
- At least 5 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients

Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs
- 3 years of Financial Services risk management experience
- PMP Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM)
- Ability to set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teams
