Organizational Overview

The IIF is the global association of the financial industry. Its mission is to support its members in the prudent management of risks; to develop sound industry practices; and to advocate for regulatory, financial, and economic policies that are in the broad interests of its members and foster global financial stability and sustainable economic growth. IIF member firms span the globe and the financial industry, comprising commercial and investment banks, asset managers, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds, central banks, development banks, and other types of businesses involved in the financial industry from nearly 70 countries.

Position Description 

The IIF currently seeks a dynamic and organized Program Assistant to join our Economic Research department. S/he will primarily provide administrative support to the Managing Director/Chief Economist with calendar management, setting up meetings, and providing research assistance as needed. S/he will also support committee and working group activities and assist with report production. Help to manage the production of economic research reports by copyediting, ensuring that branding and formatting guidelines are adhered to, and producing tables, charts, and graphs. Finally, s/he also helps to organize department events by compiling invitation lists, drafting, and distributing invitations, drafting and distributing speaker invitations, and assisting with logistical preparations. This is a part-time position, up to 20-hours a week, with flexible scheduling.  


Applicants should have a college degree, at least one year of professional experience, strong command of the English language, excellent communication skills (oral and written); and be proficient with Microsoft Office and database software with exceptional copy-editing skills and research skills. Personal attributes such as a high degree of professionalism, strong organizational skills, the ability to handle confidential documents with discretion, and attention to detail are essential. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
