AEI is seeking a self-starter and well organized team player for a busy media relations department. The applicant must be interested in media, current events, policy, and general political news. The media relations coordinator will work directly with the director of media operations and help with the management of the department, specifically by being in charge of media metrics, keeping media calendars, scheduling training sessions, organizing team meetings, and working on important media events. Duties also include maintaining a database of media contacts, supervising the department's interns, taking charge of subscriptions and other administrative tasks, and when needed, working with media team members to promote AEI scholars and their work.

This position requires excellent attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills. Qualified candidates will have a keen interest in news and media and be able to handle multiple tasks in a frequently busy and demanding environment. A bachelor's degree is required.
