Responsibilities
As SENIOR EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, you will:
- Provide transit emergency management and safety guidelines to the transit industry to support the highest practicable level of safe management and operational practices in public transit.
- Serve as Senior Emergency Coordinator, Physical Security Coordinator, and a member of the Secretary of Transportation's Emergency Response Team. These duties include assisting with the administration and promulgation of emergency management and safety guidance; coordination and engagement in the Office of the Secretary/departmental safety and intelligence matters; and implementation of National Response Program policies and procedures for FTA.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- SELECTIVE SERVICE: Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for the Selective Service.

- TIME-IN-GRADE: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions contained in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F.

Qualifications
