Brown and Caldwell is seeking a Senior Water Technologist with deep knowledge of conventional and advanced water treatment to provide process engineering on a variety of drinking water and potable reuse treatment planning, evaluation and design projects. Work will include process evaluation, modeling and design for municipal water treatment, advanced treatment and water recycling facilities throughout the US The role will serve as technical leader for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) considerations in municipal drinking water and wastewater treatment and permitting in the East. Serve as technical and business development lead responsible for advancing the Mid-Atlantics One Water services with a specific focus on drinking water and water reuse Provide client management and/or technical sales support while collaborating with business development teams on opportunities and pursuits in drinking water, water supply, municipal wastewater, and/or water reuseplanning,design and implementation projects Serve as a key client contact with several of our wastewater, drinking water, and water reuse related clientsEffectively balance technical sales initiatives with a technical execution role during the procurement and execution of key projectsManage and execute work on municipal and industrial water facilities include treatment plants, facility planning and design. Work may include (but not limited to): Drinking water and/or water reuse planning, process evaluation, selection, modeling and design, optimization, bench testing, and/or pilot testingAdvanced water and/or wastewater treatment processesWater reclamation; water supply; potable and non-potable reuse; blending; regulatory requirements; public involvement; and water quality Prepare and make presentations to client and for professional meetingsProvide consultation in specialized areas related to efficient design management for treatment plant, facility planning and design. Collaborate and make decisions and solve problems.Participate in improving company resources and tools to improve design production and efficiencyAdvanced water and/or wastewater treatment processesWater reclamation; water supply; blending; regulatory requirements; public involvement; and water quality Lead the companys per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) Initiative in the Eastern Business Unit Participate in national client engagement in PFAS considerations in drinking water and wastewater treatment and permitting Participate directly in collaborative industry research (eg Water Research Foundation and federally funded research) and effectively communicate this knowledge in publications and at conferences to further represent BCs brand.Apply this knowledge to solve client challenges. Hold leadership positions in national industry organizations (eg AWWA, WEF, NEBRA, WateReuse Association, or others) and local/regional organizations (eg NEWEA) Supervise, delegate, and oversee the work of technical staff and engineers Assist with career development of team members and identify high potential performers to create a healthy career progression and sustainable/long standing project support structure for our clients Desired Skills and Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in drinking water and/or water reuse planning, design and implementation. Bachelors Degree required in the areas of Civil or Environmental Engineering or other related areas with an emphasis on water andwastewater treatment and management; Masters degree preferred.
