Lead Application Developer Location Washington, DC Duration Long term contract Job description The Lead Application Developer shall be responsible for designing and developing high quality technology solutions that address business needs within the integrated solution. The Lead Application Developer shall utilize modern programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding or configuration standards, procedures, and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation. The Lead Application Developer shall maintain the required Agile certification throughout the TO's period of performance. It is required that the Lead Application Developer has the following qualifications. a. Advanced Pega professional with at least five years of experience managing teams of Pega developers across multiple lines of business. b. Possess an Agile certification from a recognized certification authority such as Scrum Alliance, Project Management Institute, ICAgile, etc., at time of proposal submission. It is desired that the Lead Application Developer has the following qualifications. a. Experience researching, testing, building, and coordinating the conversion andor integration of new products based on client requirements. b. Experience addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. Sc Experience performing feasibility analysis and assisting in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration, and testing tools. d. Experience using Agile methodologies on projects of similar size and complexity as the MMP requirement. e. Experience using Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or equivalent Configuration Management tools. f. Experience consulting with project teams and end users to identify application requirements and designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing software. g. Experience leading teams to resolve problems with software and responding to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. h. Experience instructing, assigning, directing, and checking the work of software developers on development teams, communicating results with senior-level customer personnel, and leading teams in the preparation of software documentation.
