Responsibilities Perspecta provides high-end Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to government clients.We are currently seeking a SeniorSystemsEngineer with a telecommunications background to providetechnical leadership and managementsupportfora program that delivers a broad range of engineering and scientific services to a national level customer.The Program provides cradle-to-grave engineering support for the definition, design, development, integration, verification, fielding, and eventual terminationdisposal of the system and system components.Perspecta is looking for team memberswith the depth and breadth to answer complex technical questions, and the skills to manage the varied activities across the program. The candidatewill be responsible forproviding technical leadership and management ofintegration, test, and deployment systems in the RF and VSAT domain. The candidate will oversee the engineering activities of component development vendors, verify the capabilities and interfaces of their developed products, integrate the components into a system, support system test and deployment activities, and perform tier-2 support for fielded systems.Thecandidate will be the direct customer interface and will provide tasking and direction toteam members.Communicationis key to success in this position. Specific responsibilities include Manage, plan, provide tasking for technical projects Communicate progress, status, briefings, and tasking to customers and team Participate in the design and definition of system functionality and component interfaces Work with contractor development teams on requirements definition, development, and testing Interact with customers on technical matters, often requiring coordinated activity across organization lines. Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, and charts. Develop test plans and procedures and oversee verification and validation. Create documentation and user manuals for deployment. Troubleshoot and analyze root cause of any system anomaliesdiscrepancies. Qualifications Requires Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field) or equivalent, and twelve to fifteen years of related experience, advanced degree a plus. Requires 12 to 15 years with BSBA or 10 to 13 years with MSMA or 7 to 9 years with Ph.D. Requires working knowledge of systems engineering principles and processes - SETA experience. Requires applied knowledge of the systems development life cycle, including requirements analysis, documentation development, control gates, and system verification. Salary Minimum 111,217.60 Salary Maximum237,744.00 The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the Perspecta salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
