Pediatric Anesthesiologist Location: Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. Qualifications : Degree/Education (5.2.4): The contractor will have successfully completed an Undergraduate Program, Medical School (MD or DO), Internship, and Residency Program. Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support (5.2.3): The contractor shall possess and maintain current certification in in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health care Providers; American Heart Association Health care Provider course; American Red Cross CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) for the Professional Rescuer; or an equivalent MTF course. HCPs, not currently in possession of current certification, must acquire certification prior to initiating contract performance. Web based classes do not meet these standards. Experience: The contractor shall have been actively practicing pediatric anesthesiology for at least 5 years. The contractor must have completed a pediatric fellowship (minimum length of 12 months) or equivalent. Satisfactory completion of a one-year fellowship program in pediatric anesthesiology that was ACGME-accredited throughout the time of enrollment, with verification from the program director. Board Certification (5.2.6.4.4): The contractor shall be board certified in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Licensure/Registration: The contractor must have a valid unrestricted medical license in at least 1 state, territory or commonwealth of the US and shall at a minimum be Board Eligible. All contract anesthesiologist must be a diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology. In addition they must be participants in the Maintenance of Certification Anesthesia (MOCA) program run by the ABA.
