Salary: $122,530 (Step 01) to $159,286 (Step 10);

Responsibilities

As an Management Analyst with the Department of the Interior, Office of the Solicitor, Division of Administration located in Washington, DC your specific duties will include:
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of SOL administrative, management, and personnel management policies, procedures, guidelines, an standards related to the SOL workforce, including researching, analyzing, and advising SOL leadership and staff.
  • Conducts or arranges for the conduct of training of managers and employees in administrative and programmatic areas.
  • Manages long-term and short-term efforts to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of activities, projects, and specific operations carried out within the Office of the Solicitor.
  • Oversees the management of long-term projects and a variety of special, non-recurring projects, in support of broad, complex, and often sensitive matters involving staffing, operations, and organization of the Office of the Solicitor. These projects require gathering, analyzing, evaluating, and compiling data, and preparing final recommendations to SOL Leadership.

SOL has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework in accordance with the DOI Telework policy and with supervisor approval. The official worksite for the selectee is the duty station identified in this vacancy announcement. The selectee will typically report to this duty location on a regular and recurring weekly basis.

    • A background investigation will be required for this position. Continued employment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background security investigation and favorable adjudication. Failure to successfully meet these requirements will be grounds for termination.

    Qualifications

    For GS-14 :

    Applicants must meet the following to qualify for the GS-14 level: One year of specialized experience in or directly related to this position that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. To be creditable, the required specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service.

    Examples of GS-13 level work may include: formulating complex programs; conducting complex studies on assembly analysis, and interpretation of data; planning, organizing, completing several complex project assignments requiring coordination of work; and utilizing administrative/financial data systems.

    You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements for the position by the closing date of the announcement.
