Your responsibilities ABB is seeking an Electric Vehicle Regional Sales Manager to lead the overall sales and business development effort for the Electric Vehicle (EV) segment in an assigned region. Achieve revenue and sales targets as defined by the business leadership Analysis of the market and the players and their interaction Develop strategy, tactics and sales plans for sales into the electric vehicle market segment.Develop relationships with key customers Identify and report on business opportunities in the targeted segments Maintain and report of the pipeline of project for the region.Assume key account management responsibilities on accounts as assigned Bid & offer management - Technical and commercial bid preparation for electrical vehicle proposals. High level of interaction within regional ABB organization and global product group located in Europe Representing ABB in trade associations, conferences, trade shows and industry networking events in the electric vehicle market segment Contract negotiation & strong legal understanding of contract process Your background Associates degree and 20 years experience in account management, product management, or sales of electrical systems or components;OR Bachelor s degree and 15 years' experience in account management, product management, or sales of electrical systems or components A Master s Degree in required field = Credit given for 2 years of work experience A PhD/Doctorate in required field = Credit given for 3 years of work experience Bachelors' Degree in Engineering plus 15 years of sales experience in the Electric Vehicle market including customers and OEMs Master of Business Administration Prior knowledge or experience in the EV Industry, including EV Charging, lithium Ion battery technology knowledge or understanding of OCPP.Understanding of modern grid principles as it applies to distributed energy resources. Experience with using Salesforce.com as CRM.Experience speaking in a public forum, such as industry conferences and trade shows, as well is leading workshops and seminars for customers and users. Passion for the EV industry and other sustainable energy technologies. Successful experience in closing major projects. Ability and willingness to travel 50-75% which will include both domestic and international travel. Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in United States.
