Description Job Description This position provides technical expertise to C5ISR Center Sustaining Base Network Assurance Branch (SBNAB) Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) Security Operations Center (SOC) as a Strategic Development SME. To remain at the forefront of CSSP services, SBNAB needs innovations to address evolving mission requirements, counter new threats, improve and simplify technologies and processes, and integrate emerging commercial technologies into its environments. Primary Responsibilities The Cyber Security Strategy Development SME is responsible for defining the information security strategic roadmap by interfacing with core business functions and technology teams to identify required future state security capabilities, working with internal information security teams to secure the threat landscape, and considering strategic risk areas of the organization. Researches various domains of cyber to include various trends, vulnerabilities, or current flaws in software, hardware, Internet of Things (IoT), or other technology related areas. This may include researching targeted software or hardware for vulnerabilities, researching current intelligence. Recommends and develops new technical solutions, products, andor standards in support of function's strategy and operations Responsible for coordinating activities across our organization to deliver DCO and CSSP innovation, make RD recommendations, and realize near-term operational improvements. Provides data and analytics to shape or advise teams in the creation of solutions. Senior expert in cybersecurity technology Collaborates with SBNAB, serving as a reliable single touch point to access Leidos SMEs and align mission requirements with existing and potential Leidos funded IRD activities, thus bringing innovative solutions in direct support of the mission. Requires ability to communicate with executive leadership (internally or client) regarding matters of significant importance to the organizationproject. Works to convince others to accept areas viewcurrent practices and agreeaccept new concepts, practices and approaches. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 12+ years, or Master's degree with 10 years of experience in the subjectarea. Must have a DoD-8570 certification to start. Candidate must possess an active TSSCI, or a Top Secret clearance with a current SSBI, and be eligible to obtain a SCI with Special Access Program (SAP) clearance. Has in-depth understanding of technical principles, theories, concepts and their application across range of programs. Extensive background in various areas of Cyber Security to include but not limited to Cyber Security Architecture, Prior cybersecurity experience (Protect, Detect, Respond and Sustain) within a Computer Incident Response organization. Deep technical understanding of core current cybersecurity technologies as well as emerging capabilities. High level of knowledge regarding the life cycle of cybersecurity threats, attacks, attack vectors and methods of exploitation with an understanding of intrusion set tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs). Preferred Qualifications CND experience (Protect, Detect, Respond and Sustain) within a Computer Incident Response organization. Experience in a 24x7 environment.
