Job Description The Defense Group at Leidos is seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Network Administrator who will be responsible for keeping the defense research and engineering network (DREN) at the C5ISR prototype and integration facility operational for all users. This role includes managing user accounts, resolving help tickets, and performing system upgrades and patches. The Network Administrator will directly engage with government and contractor users and teams at the C5ISR Center headquarters level. Primary Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of the defense research and engineering network (DREN) to ensure optimum system performance and minimize system outages. Create new and manage existing user accounts Test, validate, and implement all upgrades, patches and migrations. Manage and resolve all user trouble tickets Work with the C5ISR Center headquarters team to maintain awareness of all policies that may impact security, and operability. Basic Qualifications BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related scientific technical discipline with 4-8 years of experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree CompTIA Security+ Certification Capable of performing network engineering functions, to include conceptualization, design, implementation and optimization Experienced in assessing evolving user needs and translating those needs into network changes through network reconfiguration, hardware and software acquisitions, installation and test. Knowledgeable in the application of current and emerging network software and hardware technology and protocols. Active Secret Clearance. Due to contract requirements, ship is required.
