Systems Engineer II
Peraton is expanding its presence across the Space enterprise bringing advanced concepts, space and cyber solutions, enterprise systems and services delivery, and integrated operations to advance our customers' missions and solve their most daunting challenges. We are seeking Systems Engineers to join a dynamic engineering team in development and deployment of state-of-the-art communications and signal processing systems, including satellite ground terminals. * Develop requirements documentation. * Perform system-level design, analysis and allocation of requirements to lower level systems. * Coordinate with external customers. * Support design and requirements reviews. * Develop, maintain and exercise system performance models to ensure compliance with mission objectives * Identify required critical analyses, organize and perform analysis tasks, organize and perform system- and design-level trades, develop and evaluate algorithms, define system architectures to implement algorithms * Plan and execute requirements verification activities; * Support business development, development of system engineering and analysis program plans. * Develop concepts of operation, technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses, functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies * Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. * Required Qualifications: * Active TS/SCI security clearance and maintenence of clearance thereafter is required * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline * 2-5 years of experience in systems architecture and requirements development applicable to communications systems * Experience with wireless digital communication systems * Familiarity with signal processing techniques/algorithms * Experience with Matlab / Simulink / Octave / STK * The ability to communicate and work well with others * Strong writing and presentation skills Preferred Qualifications: * Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering * Strong analytical skills * Experience with automated test environments We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
