Job Description FREDERICK MD $70,000.00 Immediate Opening. This is a customer interfacing role (Video Demos, ZOOM, Teams, Phone ETC) Position Objective: Support the continued relationships between the company and its customer through providing technical problem-solving knowledge to facilitate solutions. Essential Functions of the Job (listed in order of importance): Serves customers by identifying their needs for products, equipment, and services. Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and others in a position to understand service requirements. Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests. Identifies and establishes new accounts by sourcing potential customers and planning and organizing a sales call schedule. Prepares cost estimates by studying all related customer documents, consulting with engineers, and other professional personnel. Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements. Submits orders by conferring with technical support staff and costing engineering changes. Supports the development of customer's staff by providing technical information and training as needed. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and anticipating future legislation as it applies to the role, responsibilities, company, and product. Prepares sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing directives. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Skills and Experience Required to Perform the Duties of the Job: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent assignment changes Bachelor's Degree in engineering discipline (mechanical preferred) 2-5 years' experience in a sales engineer, customer-facing role Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered Strong conversational and persuasive skills required to find win-win solutions Knowledge of and ability to apply engineering methodologies to problems through to resolution. Ability to engage customer directly in a technical manner to gain confidence and trust in the relationship. Ability to take limited information (technical or otherwise) and develop out of the box solutions to meet customer expectations Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel and Word and ability to apply knowledge day to day Working knowledge of ERP and CRM systems and ability to apply Ability to interact with all level of the organization including sales and manufacturing to complete tasks Ability to read and interpret drawings, reports, other documentation to meet position objectives, ie blueprints, bill of materials, routers, etc. Ability to interact with others both verbally and in writing to meet the position objective Ability to apply common sense and logic in the resolution of problems Demonstrated history of consistently delivering on expectations for customer satisfaction Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records
