SAIC's National Security and Space (NSS) Sector is currently hiring for a customer within the Intelligence Community (IC) in Chantilly, VA. This customer is responsible for designing, building, and operating national security-related systems based in space, in the air, and on the ground. SAIC is a strong company providing opportunities for energetic individuals with a strong desire to expand their knowledge while increasing their responsibilities.SAIC has an opening for a GEOINT OPIR Senior Systems Engineer to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) services to an IC customer. The customer organization we support provides the enterprise architecting, analysis, and systems engineering solutions that determine the current and future national space systems. This Senior Systems Engineer position supports the customer's Systems Engineering Division on OPIR Joint Program responsible for acquiring the future Overhead Persistence GEOINT Architecture that will provide the user community with OPIR capabilities in a modular, open architecture delivering global, persistent, real-time surveillance and activity-based intelligence information. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Working across multiple Directorates and Offices to identify and define future space capability needsFrequent interaction with government, SETA, FFRDC, and external stakeholdersIdentifying key architecture and system level tradesDeveloping Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) for new capabilities and coordinating them across the affected organizationsDeveloping enterprise, system, functional, performance, and interface requirements Manage the Request for Change (RFC) process as it relates to updating requirement baselinesPreparing briefings for senior decision makersQualifications Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in STEM (science, technical, engineering, math) or related discipline with at least 14 years of relevant experienceActive TS/SCI clearance with polygraphExpertise in the application of space-based intelligence systems in support of strategic intelligence and combat operationsExperience with current and future OPIR satellite collection systems to include current and future processing capabilitiesProven experience in OPIR systems to include tasking, command & control, collection, mission processing, and dissemination Proven experience in core systems engineering and analysis disciplines and processesDemonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environmentStrong oral and written communication skillsDesired Qualifications:Advanced degree in STEM (science, technical, engineering, math) or related disciplineExperience with IC customer's RFC process and the Engineering Review Board processExperience with GEOINT systems operations and/or development Experience in Rhapsody and SysML applicationsPrior US military and/or IC customer experienceSAIC is a premier technology integrator solving our nation's modernization and readiness challenges.
