I have a client located in Northern Virginia that has an immediate need for a systems engineer. You will be responsible for: Assist the IT manager with IT infrastructure needs. Enhance and maintain existing infrastructure applications/systems/web sites Provide IT assistance to end users from time to time. Evaluate the existing systems and provide the technical direction to IT support staff. Oversee the development of customized software and hardware requirement. Plan and implement systems automation as required for better efficiency. Perform other short-term and long-term tasks and duties as assigned by management to improve quality and client services Applicant must be a US citizen and have or be eligible for a DoD security clearance. Company will not sponsor work visa or provide relocation for this position.Work Location: in office Arlington, VAQualifications: BS Computer Information Systems or equivalent and 6+ years' experience in system engineering and IT support required. Experience with AWS, and Azure clouds Experience with DoD compliance standards Strong knowledge of computer network, security, and design. Knowledge of Windows and Linux server technologies. Proven ability to collaborate with and take direction from other team members and manage time to complete individual tasks on schedule Excellent oral and written communication skills are required Excellent time management and organizational skills; must be extremely detail-oriented and follow quality standards Dependable, self-starter, proactive professional interested in contributing to individual and team growth This is a contract to hire position and pay will be based on experience level.
