OverviewAs Senior Building Services Electrical Engineer, you will plan and implement the electrical and mechanical strategy for the plant, office, and all facility equipment and systems. Your responsibilities include developing specifications, preparing estimates of design and implementation costs, management of contractors and maintenance tradesmen, and forming criteria and performance specifications. You will be responsible for directing maintenance and repair work, managing capital projects and assist in ensuring the safety of occupants and building users.Responsibilities Work as a team member, leader or individual to research, develop, design, test and evaluate electrical components, equipment and systems. Participate in all electrical and instrumentation maintenance, testing, and calibrations. Including but not limited to the coordination and review of the plant wide thermal scan predictive program, arc flash mitigation program, and lead the preventive, corrective, and emergency repairs on all equipment. Install, maintain and troubleshoot distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers and fuse disconnects. Work directly with or provide guidance to Maintenance Tradespersons and/or contractors. Work with automated equipment and VFD's, computers, AC drives, HMI's and PLC's Assist in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical systems such as chillers, pumps, and cooling towers. Assist in the installation, maintenance and renovation of general facility systems including fire and life safety systems, site infrastructure including parking lots and storm water conveyance systems, and other facility critical systems Work in a team setting with other tradesmen, employees and management to continuously improve maintenance and reliability programs to improve safety, product quality, production efficiency and labor/material effectiveness. Follow standard safety procedures, correct safety and environmental hazards with appropriate escalation to local management Develops specifications and prepares simple estimates of design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs. Forms criteria and performance specifications for facilities and industrial equipment necessary to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes. Works on tasks that require analysis of identifiable factors and application of judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Assists in ensuring the safety of occupants and building users. Comprehend and use technical manuals, schematics, blueprints and electrical code specifications. Organize and practice good housekeeping of work area, tools, and parts. Respond to emergency situations as necessary. All other duties as assigned.*MON*#LI-MG1Qualifications Proficiency with MS office suite, AutoCAD, and CMMS Experience with various instrumentation sensors and transmitters Proficient knowledge of electrical and instrumentation; electrical equipment functioning; electrical operating procedures and standards to support cost effective, safe and efficient equipment and instrumentation maintenance, repair. Basic knowledge of Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic equipment to support safe and efficient minor equipment repair. Knowledge of federal, state, and local electric codes and environmental permit regulations pertaining to electrical & instrumentation functioning. Communicate orally and in writing, maintain records and documents. Ability to work with minimal supervision, as part of a team, and as a team leader. Ability to manage time effectively while handling multiple jobs with varying priorities Proficient in diagnosing and testing motors and motor control circuits Willing to travel occasionally within North America for training and/or assist at other Volvo Plants Worked with electrical standards such as: IEEE, National Electric Code, NEMA, etc. Experience with plant planning and scheduling, shutdown procedures and best practices Fluent in verbal and written English#CB*MON*
