Job Title: Direct Hire - Lead, Accounting and Finance Transformation Position Summary This Manager - Finance Innovation and Transformation (FIT) position manages people and processes related to leveraging automation, data analytics, and continuous improvement to support the success strategies of the broader Accounting and Finance (AandF) teams under the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO). The role works cross-functionally with business partners in AandF and throughout the company to review and prioritize a pipeline of changes related to financial systems, processes, and procedures to support the company's strategic objectives. The role manages cross-functional workstreams within AandF in the delivery of approved changes with a focus on results that improve controls, reduce risks, and improve efficiency and effectiveness. This role is expected to leverage effective communication skills to translate complex requirements and solutions with a passion to learn and develop. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serve as a catalyst in interpreting functional needs of accounting/finance team and translates into solutions using data and establish advanced analytics tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBl, and other cognitive and emerging technologies, establishes digitally enabled operating models to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for GAAP and SOX compliance; Assists in significant ad-hoc projects including streamlining existing processes and development of transformation and change management programs for digital technology process implementations; and ensures compliance with Internal controls and GAAP Understands big data in the accounting system and integrates findings into accounting/finance deliverables Collaborates with external consultant and partners with cross-functional teams including Financial Planning and Analysis (FPandA), Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Accounts Receivables and Payables, Compensation, Financial Reporting and Internal Audit to optimize digital projects according to impacts, priorities, budget and resource availability Works with OCFO leadership to provide analytics support, developing recommendations and implements analytical approaches and methodologies to capture the critical, actionable data to achieve business goals Actively uses digital visualization tools to prepare results of data analyses in graphical form and to varying degrees of detail for the respective target audience Understands Accounting and Finance function and the people, process, and technologies that support the finance function Evaluate the ROI of new emerging technologies, best practice operating models and opportunities to optimize analytics across the organization Applies knowledge of accounting principles, best practices and technologies to develop tools that provide actional business insight to assist the Company's Accounting business function Keeps abreast of industry best practices, monitor competitive and market trends to drive new features and innovative digital solutions Creates external partnerships to continuously learn, engage, pilot and deploy emerging technology solutions in agreed upon finance and accounting focus areas Qualifications - Skills and Abilities Master's degree in Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, or related field is preferred CBAP, Lean Six Sigma - Black Belt Certification 1-2 years of experience working in large, matrixed Retail organization 1-2 years of focused experience in Business Process Re-engineering, Standardization and Continuous Improvement. Demonstrated ability to navigate organizational structures and build credibility with internal clients / stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in managing complexities of competing priorities and program inter-dependencies Ability to demonstrate strong business acumen; experience implementing financial processes and systems with an ability to discriminate between symptoms and root causes. Excellent facilitator capable of influencing people over which he / she has no authority Ability to direct, coach and mentor functional managers, analysts and other junior members of the team. Prior experience in public accounting Effective written and verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving skills Must be able to multi-task and balance multiple high priority tasks Proven record of high performance and excellent leadership skills. Education And / Or Experience The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
