HSC seeks a motivated and strategic practitioner to lead state government policy development and advocacy execution. State government policy around climate change solutions, utility resource planning and clean energy manufacturing play a significant role in HSC's future as a raw material supplier to the solar industry. We are looking for a leader to engage in these debates and shape innovative solutions across multiple states. Essential Functions: Policy Analysis and Development Develop and maintain an understanding of the policy and regulatory landscape. Track and analyze legislative and regulatory policy developments around the country, providing intelligence and insights. Advocacy Strategy Formation and Execution Develop, communicate and implement strategy for advancement of HSC's legislative and regulatory initiatives in Michigan, California and New York. Manage government affairs consultants and contractors. Relationship Management Develop and maintain strategic relationships with state and local elected officials, and community and business leaders. Represent HSC in partner business and trade associations. Develop coalitions to support HSC's policy agenda as appropriate. Additional Duties: Assist HSC executive leadership team in preparing board communications regarding government affairs developments, including regulatory and legislative matters of interest. Represent HSC at external events, meetings and conferences when needed. Identify opportunities for collaboration with other organizations on issues of mutual interest. Ensure compliance of political activities with external laws and regulations and HSC Code of Business Conduct.
