We are searching for Pathologists who are AP/CP Certified and bring experience in surgical pathology. Added experience in cytopathology, hematopathology or molecular oncology is considered a plus. Candidates who have interest/expertise in immuno-histochemistry are encouraged to apply. Job Responsibilities 1. Performs diagnostic interpretation of biopsy and/or cytology material 2. Diagnosis to include: gross and microscopic evaluation, dictation, and electronic release of reviewed cases 3. Participate as an active medical member of the department with substantial diagnostic case responsibilities 4. Responsible for the Medical Quality of the Clinical and Cytopathology laboratory Responsible for the Medical Quality of the Clinical and Cytopathology laboratory 5. Participate in client visits, peer consults, and continuing education 6. Responsible for quality control and assurance Qualifications * Doctor of Medicine * At least 5 years of prior experience in an inpatient and/or outpatient laboratory setting * Board Certification in a subspecialty area within Clinical or Anatomic Pathology that is pertinent to this position desirable * Active unrestricted licensure for Business Unit location, Chantilly, VA * Fulfill the responsibilities as listed in CLIA '88 if required * Occasional travel to meet clients may be required.
