Key skills Project management in financial services, payment card, Networking Description Sr. Project Manager Position Summary Global Client Services works with issuers, acquirers, processors and merchants worldwide to develop and deliver the support model for Visa Inc. This includes day-to-day operations and product support, back office support and customer performance reporting. Within the Global Client Services organization, Global Access Readiness is comprised of regionally focused teams of project managers and subject matter experts who enable adoption of new Visa products, services and initiatives while looking after the overall operational health of clients processing through VisaNet. Job Scope This is an individual contributor role responsible for facilitating Visa initiated changes with processing endpoint clients, globally ndash coordinating Visa system changes and technology upnotgrades required to ensure the ongoing stability and safety of the Visa payment system. This role serves as a technicalfunctional specialist and works independently with guidance only in the most complex situations. Responsibilities bullManage multiple client projects to ensure Visa mandated technology initiatives are successfully implemented, balancing project objectives and deliverables with client expectations. bull Coordinate directly with clients and internal stakeholders to understand server configuration requirements and facilitate necessary changes without customer impact. bullCoordinate directly with clients and internal stakeholders to understand network configuration requirements and facilitate necessary changes without customer impact. bullManage non-routine, complex processing and change requests, as well as short-term tactical and strategic client initiatives. bullAct as the Project Lead for various initiatives - both internal and external - using Project Management best practices and skills. bullProactively identify operational opportunities to increase service quality or efficiency. bullBuild and enhance positive working relationships with key Visa client institutions, processors and internal stakeholders. bullPrepare and maintain detailed project plans, status reports, and issues logs. bullProvide regular reporting on overall project accomplishments, challenges and deliverables. bullRepresent client system and operational requirements to internal Visa organizations. bullBe responsible for own work assignments and tasks, taking the initiative to resolve problems and meet deadlines. bullCreate, update and enhance internal support documents to assist internal and external stakeholders. bullPosition will be global in scope, requiring occasional alternative work hours to accommodate time zones. Qualifications bullBachelor's degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience. bullRequires a minimum of 8 years progressively responsible experience providing project management in a technical support role in the financial services, payment card, and software or Information Technology operational environment. bullKnowledge of the payment and data processing industries including industry trends and high-level business drivers. bullApplied knowledge of the 7-layer OSI Model and OSI Network Communication bullExperience and expertise in implementing and supporting client-server network configurations in WANLAN environments and associated protocols (FTPS-TLS, SFTP, HTTP, DNS, Etc.). bullProject Management experience with WAN circuit provisioning implementations bullProject Management experience with remote endpoint router and server implementations bullExcellent time management, organization, and planning skills are essential. bullAbility to comprehend and translate complex technical issues and apply to business solutions. bullDemonstrated ability to articulate complex technical terms or processes into business language. bullAble to set priorities, influence others, and manage customer expectations. bullSelf-starter with a demonstrated ability to achieve results as part of an effective team, and ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task under deadlines. bullExcellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills are required. bullPrevious experience as a System Administrator andor Network Administrator preferred.
