Position Overview:
Responsible for maintaining/updating enterprise data application systems that have completed the development stage and are running in the daily operations of the firm. Support and provide subject matter expertise on upgrades, day to day operations, and projects by performing impact analysis (including upstream and downstream), testing, data analysis/lineage, create operational support requirements such as SLAs and control reports, and other technical/business support for all enterprise data assets. Delivers enterprise data support for key controls and processes over the shared information assets including collecting artifacts to prove compliance. Provides resolutions to an extensive range of complicated problems. Solutions are innovative, thorough, and practicable. Work is evaluated upon completion for adequacy in satisfying objectives. Is on-call as part of a 24X7 rotational support model.

Our Impact:
Our team provides business operations support for the CDW (Corporate Data Warehouse), PCDR (Periodic Credit Data Refresh) and SFDM (Single Family Data Mart) for Freddie Mac. These applications store data accumulated from a wide range of sources. Our objective is to make accessible historical and current business relevant data, by centralizing it into one relational database for decision support, management reporting, ad-hoc and trend analysis, modeling and data mining purposes. We provide support to critical Freddie Mac applications, including Finance in support of monthly and quarter end close.

Your Impact:
Represents the organization as the principal customer contact on contracts and often performs project leadership role. Interacts with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters frequently requiring coordination across organizational lines.

  • College degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred.
  • Typically has 5 - 7 years related experience.
  • Experience gathering, analyzing, evaluating data issues/requests and articulating business requirements and documenting with the ability to conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and perform post-production validation of solution implemented.
  • Experience with DB2, Sybase and Oracle databases.
  • Skills in SQL, SAS, and XML.
  • Data analysis/mining and analytical decision making.
  • Familiarity with data management practices and data architecture.
  • Experience in operational support.
