Summary
This position is located in the Department of Labor's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Office. The EEO Office is responsible for administering and providing advice on Departmental EEO policies, practices, and procedures within the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM) and it's client agencies.

Qualifications
Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-12, in the Federal Service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience utilizing laws and regulations governing equal opportunity and nondiscrimination programs to conduct investigations and experience applying the concepts, methods, and principles of equal employment opportunity to perform consulting services to managers and employees.
Education
Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.

Responsibilities
The incumbent of this position serves as an Equal Employment Specialist in support of the OASAM EEO Manager in support of the OASAM EEO Office's Agency-wide EEO program responsibilities.

- Advises and assists managers and staff in Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM) and client agencies in processing reasonable accommodation cases.
- Independently coordinates or conducts investigations or inquires as appropriate into complaints filed with the OASAM EEO Office under the Secretary's Harassing Conduct Policy, and conducts legal research into the basis of the complainant in order to prepare a written report of findings.
- Reviews and makes recommendations to the Civil Rights Center on complainants of discrimination in OASAM and client agencies, and conducts EEO accountability reviews.
- Researches and analyzes diversity data.
- Develops statistical analysis, narratives, graphs, and charts for agency EEO reports.
