Summary

This position is located in The Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR), Division of Resource Management and Administration, Reactor Program Services Branch II. The supervisor is Kirk Foggie.

This position is Bargaining Unit.

Selectee will be subject to Office of Government Ethics Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will perform the full range of duties. Such duties include but are not limited to:

Reviews correspondence proposed for signature or concurrence by the Office Director, Executive Director for Operations, and the Commission. Responsible for assuring all written communications that are processed meet a high standard of excellence as to English, grammar, style, and tone of correspondence. Frequently brings to the attention of the originator, or the management, questions of error, omission, and consistency pertaining to the content of the correspondence dealing with policy and basic procedural matters.

Thorough review and processing of incoming OEDO document requests and office action items; identifies and assigns lead office; and provides special instructions for completion, as needed.

Responsible for the office's internal control program updates and will interact with division management on a continuous basis.

Responsible for managing multiple contracts for the office. Will need to have a COR level I certification and at least 1-year experience with contracts.

Qualifications

In addition to the basic requirements, to qualify for this position you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GG-12) is defined as demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the fields of administrative policy, procedures, practices and standards pertaining to correspondence; coordinating administrative activities; contract management and maintenance; and the ability to work in a team environment. Candidates must be able to effectively collaborate and deal tactfully, confidentially, and professionally with all levels of personnel.
