Director, Chief of Staff-Payments & Identity

The Payments & Identity organization is part of Capital One's Enterprise Products & Platforms team. We aim to better enable teams for success by pursuing opportunities at the intersection of Payments & Identity. Our team deliver innovations from inception to scaled development that drive increased spend, reduce expenses, and test new product opportunities.

We're seeking a Chief of Staff who is highly organized and emotionally intelligent to work with our leadership team to drive strategic planning efforts, establish operational excellence, keep a pulse on healthy morale and engagement, and ensure key business priorities are successfully planned and executed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the management of the leadership team strategy including owning the agenda for regular leadership and organizational meetings
  • Drive Strategic Planning sessions including regular Objective & Key Results (OKRs) creation and scoring
  • Develop materials to be used in sharing the team's vision with stakeholders, including senior management
  • Coordinate with finance and recruiting on budget planning and hiring strategy
  • Support HR in their talent efforts including performance management, people leadership, recruiting, succession planning, learning & development, and diversity, inclusion, and belonging
  • Ensure clear alignment & ownership of metrics to OKRs
  • Keep the organization focused on key priorities through effective business metrics reviews & maintain high standard for clear business metric reporting
  • Engage with key partners across the organization to 'connect the dots' across leaders & teams
  • Directly drive special projects as needed


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in Project Management OR Process Management
  • At least 5 years of experience writing communications or developing presentations for audiences that include corporate intranet, department associates, technology executives, Board of Directors and regulators


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering or Computers
  • 10+ years of experience in Managing IT projects
  • 7+ years of experience in Project Management OR 7+ years of experience in Process Management
  • 7+ years of presentation development experience
  • 5+ years of experience in IT development or 5+ years of experience in IT support
