Active security clearance is required. Any CompTia or Microsoft certification. 3+ years of relevant experience. Responsibilities: Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance Job Requirements: Maintain network servers such as file servers Maintaining servers systems and software Perform server installations and server administration setup Build windows servers and clients Maintain network servers such as file servers, intrusion detection systems Install servers and application software Specify new server hardware, operating systems and software Maintain hardware and network systems Modifying performance of servers and network hardware and software Recommend server and desktop hardware and software Assist users with hardware/software/system problems Implement network software and hardware upgrades Perform software install and updates on all network server based systems and network infrastructure Manage server performance to include file servers, database servers, web servers, and domain resources Troubleshoot problems with server hardware and applications software Configure server and desktop software Enforce server hardware and operating system standards Monitor and maintain server hardware Configure network equipment and servers Perform hardware installs and configurations of all network server systems
