Job ID: 2019229 Location: CHANTILLY , VA , US Date Posted: 2020-12-09Category: Engineering and SciencesSubcategory: Systems EngineerSchedule: Full-timeShift: Day JobTravel: Yes, 10 % of the TimeMinimum Clearance Required: TS/SCI with PolyClearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: NonePotential for Remote Work: No Description JOB DESCRIPTION: SAIC is seeking a Ground Systems Engineer to join our Chantilly,VA team.- Performs systems engineering activities related toSystems Engineering including: concept of operations formulation, requirementsdefinition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis anddesign, validation and verification, systems integration, system performanceanalysis. - Provides requirements systems engineering support toGovernment Program Office Chief Engineer in planning, developing, andmonitoring program requirements in the procurement of new systems andservices. - Develop SystemsEngineering (SE) work products, including: System Specifications, LogicallyDerived and Linked Requirements, Architecture Descriptions, InterfaceDefinitions, System Diagrams, Trade Studies, etc. utilizing Model Base SystemsEngineering (MBSE) or similar tools and techniques.- Perform system integration acrossmultiple segments- Developtechnical requirements and prepare System Requirements Specification (SysRS)/Technical Requirements Document (TRD) for system acquisitions- Prepareprogram requirements related documentation: Use Cases, Concept of Operations(CONOPS), and System Interface Document- Conductrequirements functional analysis and allocation -- Performrequirements traceability from user requirements through contract SysRS -- Witness enditem factory and site testing for customer acceptance -- GenerateMeasure of Effectiveness (MOE), Measure of Performance (MOP) for new programacquisitions -- Perform trade studies as directed byGovernment customer -- AnalyzeContractor proposed architectures and conceptual designs- Recommendengineering specifications and standards be placed as program compliance orreference documents in Government procurement contract- Serve asadvisor for technical evaluation of Contractor proposals- Participate as part of Government ProgramOffice Team reviewing Contractor formal reviews (SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, TRR)- Conductrisk and opportunity management - Requires broad systemsengineering experience (eg system architecture and design, systemsdocumentation, system requirements, CONOPS, systems verification).- Experiencein Requirements Traceability Tools (developing logically derived and linkedrequirements)- Strongwritten, communication, and presentation skills - Must be able to "Put pen topaper"- Abilityto independently work through all stages of tasking PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Works on unusuallycomplex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovativeand ingenious. FREEDOM TO ACT: Works under consultativedirection toward pre-determined long-range goals and objectives. Assignmentsare often self-initiated. Determine and pursue courses of action necessary toobtain desired results.Qualifications Clearance required to start: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience.
