Job DescriptionPosition title: IT Senior ServiceNow Engineer Position #: 126077 The Senior ServiceNow Engineer serves as a key technical resource in the configuration, development, support, and maintenance of the ServiceNow implementation. The position supports all implemented modules including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Service Catalog, Customer Portals, Knowledge Management, CMDB, Asset Management, and Appointments. Primary responsibilities for this position: Ensure overall systems availability via good design/best practices, thorough testing, and responsiveness in root cause analysis. Partner with leadership to drive towards implementation of platform roadmap. Demonstrate platform capabilities to show what is possible/recommended and rapidly prototype new solutions. Serve as a key ServiceNow application developer responsible for implementation of forms, workflows, integrations, configuration, customization, orchestration, access controls, etc. Reliably estimate work effort for self/team to enable prioritization. Proactively stay on top of new capabilities in the platform and educate team members and customers. Minimum qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree, preferably in computer science or related field Experience 7-10 years of experience with the full SDLC responsibilities leveraging mature, industry standard programming languages Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities ServiceNow platform experience including: ITSM, ITOM (including discovery), Asset Management, Change Management, Orchestration, Integration Hub, scripting (client/server), data model/tables, forms, record-producers, security/access (Glide), workflows, applications, events, email, homepages/reports, external data, client and server APIs (SOAP, REST), Custom Applications, Portals (Angular), mobile, etc Increasing responsibility in defining implementation standards, leading code reviews, and mentoring other engineers Excellent written and verbal communication skills, paired with ability to express complex technical concepts effectively. Preferences ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD), ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) or ServiceNow Certified Application Specialist (CAS) ITIL Foundations Certification (v4 or higher) Experience with Java Physical demands: sedentary work. Employee will need to be able to sit for long periods of time to work on a computer, as well as travel occasionally to meet with clients and customers on and off campus.
