Milani Construction, LLC, a DC based General Contractor, specialized in Heavy and Highway Construction, is seeking a full time PROJECT MANAGER to join our team. Milani Construction clients include the Federal Government, Maryland State Highway, DDOT, VDOT, State and Local Governments. The successful candidate will have a minimum of fifteen years experience ideally in the Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Construction industry. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of an entire project or projects, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The primary focus is on the development of both short and long term goals in order to increase profits.Responsibilities include:Prepare written correspondence with owner/clients.Creating and developing material take-offsPreparing and tracking submittal documentsmaterial purchasingControlling budgetProduction and deadlines for multiple projects/clientsQuality controlChange Order ProcessingQA/QC CoordinationResponding to & Posting RFI'sCPM SchedulingThe candidate must also have the ability to work collaboratively with Foreman, Superintendent, Office personnel and Subcontractors. This includes having a full understanding of job scope drawings and specifications. This individual will be responsible for developing, approving, and administering purchase orders. In addition, this person must be able to manage construction schedules and ensure adherence to budgets.We provide a competitive compensation package and a collaborative team environment. Preferred qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction ManagementThe candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.Be able to read Architectural, Structural, Civil, and (All) Construction drawings/documents.A proven track record of successful Project Management responsibilities Proven capability to track and monitor job costs on at least a monthly basis and be able to communicate any major discrepancies to management Able to train and mentor other peopleWorking knowledge of contract documents with the ability to assess risks and/or capable of escalating to management for review Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written Be proficient in Primavera, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Please send Resume via email.We are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
